What the fuck? No, we should be happy because we're getting a smart, articulate, rational president who will do "the right thing" for the country.
Even if he's a smoker.
The fact that he's black shouldn't figure into it. Every time it comes up it comes across as "good job! (for a black guy)", or "aren't we so special (for electing a black guy)!" or some other bullshit.
He's black. He's been elected president. He's the first one to do so. All true. If there was *any* causality between the first two statements, we've already fucked up.
It's the second worst kind of racism. Anyone who voted for Obama who used his skin color as a point in his favor is no better than anyone who voted against him for the same reason.
