Maybe you remember, back in October when I ranted about Eastern Bank's dumb statements, how they display the information in a way almost completely unlike any normal way of displaying financial data.


Well, it turns out it's even stupider than that.


Check it out: The "Balance summary" at the end is totally wonky if the statement goes across a year boundary:

I used the same transactions as the last post, in the same order, but moved the dates to overlap the new year.

Yes, it sorts on month/day, but not on the year, so Jan. 3, 2012 comes before Dec. 20, 2011.

I can't come up with any rational explanation this time other than the programmers are freakin' morons who don't test their work.
