I just threw out a hanging file folder of all my pay stubs since I started at FTP software... in 1993.

I stopped getting pay stubs nearly 10 years ago when I stopped being a regular employee of places.

I also threw out a bunch of performance reviews, including some really psychotic ones from my final psycho hose beasts manager, and a couple incredibly kind ones from my hiring manager

The good news is that I am, and have been for quite a while, been in a position to simply stand up, apologize, and walk out of any interview with any company if it turned out that psycho hose beast works there.

If I ever need a recommendation from someone whom I worked with/for whom I respect, I can get one.

That paper history is... mildly curios, but otherwise worthless.

And now I have three more inches in my file cabinet!
