Apparently there's been a marked increase in the rate of shark attacks in the red sea off Egypt.

On NPR they were interviewing a shark expert who was going to investigate the possible causes.

What struck me most was that all the questions he was going to ask of the victims sounded exactly like the sorts of questions that women who had been raped were asked.

What were you wearing?
What time of day was it?
Were you wearing any perfume or other body lotion?
How were you acting?

...and went on to say that such behaviors could be provocative.

If you'd tuned in just a little bit after the part where they said "shark", you'd think you'd fallen back in time by 70 years.

They must have fun.

Today they were talking about sending Alvin, the deep water exploration submarine, down to the BP oil clusterfun, to see what the oil has done to the life around the spill. They described many interesting things and it was a typical ATC article.

In the transition from that article to the next the music they played was from The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
