Jun. 24th, 2011 03:50 pmLowell, MA appears to have a problem with people donating throwing stuff away the wrong way. There was a clothing recycling bin, which got used, but it got over-used and people started leaving furniture and old TVs and other stuff that the recycler/charity didn't/couldn't deal with. The nearby property owners complained and the bin went away, but people keep leaving stuff. The city's solution? Ban all clothing recycling bins.

Here's a choice quote from the article, demonstrating yet another reason to never live in Lowell:
So, if two people do exactly the same thing, the one who owns land is treated more leniently than the one who doesn't.
That would be offensive, but understandable, if we were living in the 13th century and onlypeople men white christian men who owned land had any rights.
