I hope she's wrong...
The subject of today's "On Point" (NPR/WBUR) is "the myth of the evil stepmother" or something like that.
The guest said, "half of all women these days will become stepmothers."
That sounds implausible, and I hope she's wrong, or left out some part like, "... women who get remarried ..." or something like that.
